General procurement announcements for the Project "Modernization of irrigation systems" in the Republic of Tajikistan

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Project: Irrigation Systems Modernization

The Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the “Recipient”) has received credit from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (hereinafter the “EFSD”) in the amount of 32,000,000 (thirty-two million) US dollars to finance the “Irrigation Systems Modernization” Project (hereinafter the “Project”) and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of the above-mentioned credit to payments for goods, works and consulting services to be procured under the Project.

The Project consists of the following components:
Component 1. Modernization and rehabilitation of pumping stations in major irrigation areas of Zafarabad district, Sughd Province, Republic of Tajikistan, including:

Construction and installation works and commissioning of new pumps, electric motors, and pressure pipelines, as well as provision of the required electrical and mechanical equipment and automation of electricity and water consumption metering systems;
Design and author supervision services;
Engineering supervision consultant services and other related services.

Component 2. Establishment of a mobile mechanized unit and reconstruction of a motor depot equipped with machinery for operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems, including:

Construction and installation works and commissioning of the motor depot;
Design and author supervision services;
Engineering supervision consultant services and other related services;
Procurement of new machinery, mechanisms, and necessary equipment.

Component 3. Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Agency for Land Reclamation and Irrigation under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter – ALRI) and Project beneficiaries, including the implementation of training programs, knowledge dissemination, and related activities.

Component 4. Project management: to ensuring the functioning and support of the project implementation group (PIG) in the daily coordination of the implementation of the Project, conducting an audit of the financial statements, and monitoring in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
