The Kyrgyz republic recieved the second tranche of the financial credit

In accordance with the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), acting as the Resources Manager of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD), on the Provision of a Financial Credit to the Kyrgyz Republic from the Resources of the EFSD, the second tranche of the EFSD Financial Credit in the amount of US $80 million was disbursed on 2 December 2022. The funds were provided for 20 years at 1% per annum with a grace period of 10 years.

The objective of the credit is to support the implementation of the Programme of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic to mitigate key short-term risks to fiscal sustainability, as well as to implement measures aimed at creating conditions for achieving sustainable economic growth, including priority structural and institutional transformations in the energy, transport, financial, and budget sectors.
