Inflation in Tajikistan reached 0.6% for two months

The National Bank of the Republic (NBT) informed «AP» that the rate of inflation in the consumer sector in Tajikistan amounted to 0.2% in February this year.

According to NBT inflation in the country amounted to 0.6% from the beginning of the year, and for the past 12 months — 6.5%.

Let us remind that in January last year the level of inflation amounted to 2%, and in February 2011–1.3%. Thus, inflation in January-February this year decreased by 2.7% compared with the same period last year.

NBT this year intends to keep inflation at 10.5%. Inflation amounted at 9.8% as of last year outcome.

The Government of the Republic planned to keep inflation at 7% before the end of 2011, however it was adjusted to 11% in the middle of the year.
