EFSD held a meeting with the CAREC Institute on the sidelines of the CAREC Expert Institutions Forum

The EFSD held a meeting with the Director of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute Kabir Jurazoda and his team at The Seventh CAREC Think Tank Development Forum under the theme of “Embracing Digital Technology for Sustainable Economic Development” under the theme of “Embracing Digital Technology for Sustainable Economic Development”.

As part of this meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop cooperation and outlined its priority areas within the framework of a two-year roadmap. The EFSD and the CAREC Institute expressed satisfaction with the results of the meeting and stressed the importance of enhanced cooperation for the benefit of the participating states and the entire Central Asian region.

The EFSD, an active participant in the activities of the CAREC program, formalized cooperation with the CAREC Institute in 2023.

The CAREC Institute promotes regional cooperation and integration through knowledge generation, capacity building and knowledge sharing in the CAREC region as the knowledge arm of the CAREC Program. The CAREC Program is a committed partnership of 11 countries – Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, People’s Republic of China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
