Evgeny Vinokurov describes opportunities of economic corridors in central Asia

Evgeny Vinokurov, Chief Economist of the Eurasian Development Bank and the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, emphasized in his presentation that Central Asia has all the prerequisites for emerging as a Eurasian transit and logistics crossroads and that the limitations inherent in its land-locked status can be successfully resolved. Vinokurov also points out, that given political commitment, international economic coordination, proper regulatory policies and other enabling factors, it would be possible to achieve economies of scale in new markets, develop the agricultural sector, promote trade, tourism, digital economy, smart cities, and so on.
