YEREVAN, October 1, 2026 – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, with support from the World Bank, convened a coordination meeting of development partners in Armenia's energy sector in Yerevan.

Garik Arabyan, Head of Energy at the Infrastructure and Social Finance Department, represented the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD).
Participants included officials from the World Bank, IMF, ADB, AIIB, EU, GIZ, KfW, Sida, UNDP, the U.S. Embassy, and other development partners, as well as representatives of Armenian government agencies and state-owned energy companies.
Discussions focused on energy sector priorities under the Armenian Government's 2026–2031 Program and on regional energy connectivity. Partners presented ongoing and planned initiatives covering the modernization of transmission and distribution networks, energy storage, renewable energy integration, energy efficiency, digitalization, and regulatory reform. The EFSD outlined its key areas of engagement in the energy sector.
Participants also discussed how international financial institutions and other development partners can coordinate their activities in line with the Government's new priorities and ensure that ongoing and planned initiatives complement one another.
The meeting enabled the EFSD to deepen its understanding of the Government's priorities and other partners' activities and to identify potential areas for further engagement as it develops new energy initiatives in Armenia.
