EEC and EFSD Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
MINSK, October 2, 2026: Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC, the Commission), and Iaroslav Mandron, Managing Director of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD, the Fund), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions today. The signing took place on the sidelines of the expanded-format meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk.
MINSK, October 2, 2026: Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC, the Commission), and Iaroslav Mandron, Managing Director of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD, the Fund), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions today. The signing took place on the sidelines of the expanded-format meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk.
The Memorandum establishes a framework for systematic cooperation between the EEC and EFSD, primarily in supporting economic and financial stability in EFSD member states.
"The signing of the Memorandum is a logical continuation of our dialogue with the Eurasian Economic Commission. We see significant potential for cooperation in economic research and for closer engagement in macroeconomic stability. By combining the efforts of the EEC and EFSD, we can develop more comprehensive solutions to support the sustainable economic development of our countries," said Mr. Mandron.
The Memorandum also provides for expanded cooperation in research, including macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. The parties will be able to exchange expert assessments, research materials, and experience with respect to economic development in EFSD member states.
